The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 2 Suspension System (K53172T) is a premium performance upgrade engineered for the 2003–2009 Lexus GX470. Designed to significantly improve wheel travel, damping control, and overall ride quality, this system builds upon Stage 1 by incorporating extended travel coilovers and heavy-duty tubular upper control arms. The result is a balanced suspension package that enhances both on-road comfort and off-road capability, making it ideal for daily driving, overlanding, and moderate to aggressive trail use. 

Adjustable 0–3.5” Front Lift for Custom Stance

The ICON 2.5 Series extended travel coilovers provide adjustable lift from 0 to 3.5 inches, allowing precise tuning for ride height, tire clearance, and suspension geometry. This adjustability makes it easy to run larger, more aggressive wheel and tire setups while maintaining excellent drivability and stability. 

2.5 Series Extended Travel Coilovers with Internal Reservoirs

These front coilovers feature an extended travel design paired with internal reservoirs to improve heat dissipation and maintain consistent damping performance under demanding conditions. This setup increases front wheel travel, improving traction and control across uneven terrain. 

Tubular Upper Control Arms with Delta Joint Technology

This system includes high-strength tubular steel upper control arms equipped with ICON’s patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint combines the durability of a sealed ball joint with the high articulation of a uniball, delivering long service life, reduced maintenance, and improved suspension travel without bind. 

Rear Coil Conversion System for GX470 Platforms

The system includes a rear coil conversion kit to replace the factory air suspension, improving long-term reliability while maintaining proper ride height and performance. Paired with ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks, this setup ensures balanced damping between front and rear.

The rear suspension is tuned with ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series internal reservoir shocks, engineered specifically for the GX platform. These shocks provide improved damping control, better heat management, and enhanced stability under load or off-road conditions.

This system is designed to maximize usable wheel travel while maintaining factory-like drivability on pavement. Fully rebuildable shock components and corrosion-resistant materials ensure long-term durability in both daily and off-road environments. 

Bolt-On Installation with OEM Fitment

The Stage 2 system is a fully bolt-on suspension upgrade that installs using factory mounting points. No cutting or welding is required, making it a straightforward upgrade while significantly improving overall suspension performance.
